Joe Lawrence - Bonus Maverick Paradox Podcast

In October 2017 Joe Lawrence asked me to be a guest on his podcast Inspire Tomorrow. It's mission was to 'lead others today while inspiring the next generation', I loved the idea. Our interview was the 4th episode and sparked my desire to host my own podcast.

I will always be grateful for Joe inspiring me towards broadcasting. My podcast The Maverick Paradox Podcast was born during December 2017. Since then Joe has been a popular conversationalist at The Maverick Paradox, joining me on Episode 4 and Episode 36.

Joe has graciously allowed me to add our Inspire Tomorrow episode to The Maverick Paradox, thus benefiting both audiences. The interview has been reproduced exactly how it was originally broadcast with additional commentary.

This podcast makes up Episode 44 of The Maverick Paradox Podcast. Joe explores a quote from my book:

The Maverick Paradox: The Secret Power Behind Successful Leaders (Mavericks need challenge and influence like they need oxygen) and ponders the meaning of that sentiment.

This also includes:

  • the rationale for my book
  • mavericks are often hired to solve a problem and then they have their autonomy restricted once the original problem has been solved
  • the 4 different types of person and how mavericks think

The Facebook group that I speak of in this interview is The Maverick Paradox. Click here to find out more.

An interesting interview, time to listen up!
